OAVS Entrance Exam 2024 Eligibility Criteria

• Students who are permanent residents of the State of Odisha are only eligible for
  admission into OAVs.
• Candidates seeking admission in Class VI to any OAVs must be continuing/ passed Class V/ continuing Class VI during the academic session 2022-23. The minimum age of the candidate seeking admission in Class VI should be 10 or more than 10 years and 12 or less than 12 years as of 31st March 2023.
• Candidates seeking admission in Class VII to any OAVs must be continuing/ passed Class VI during the academic session 2022-23. The minimum age of the candidate seeking admission in Class VII should be 11 or more than 11 years and 13 or less than 13 years as of 31st March 2023.
• Candidates seeking admission in Class VIII to any OAVs must be continuing/ passed Class VII during the academic session 2022-23. The minimum age of the candidate seeking admission in Class VIII should be 12 or more than 12 years and 14 or less than 14 years as of 31st March 2023.
• Candidates seeking admission in Class IX to any OAVs must be continuing/ passed Class VIII during the academic session 2022-23. The minimum age of the Candidates seeking admission in Class IX should be 13 or more than 13 years and 15 or less than 15 years as of 31st March 2023.

OAVS Entrance Exam 2024 Application Criteria

• Students can apply for admission in only one OAV and for only one Class for a given academic year as applicable.
• A student is eligible to apply for admission in an OAV corresponding to his/ her native residential block only

OAVS Admission Document Required

• Birth Certificate of the student
• Transfer Certificate (TC) from the head of the institution last studied.
• Date of Birth/ Student’s Name/ Father’s Name/ Mother’s Name as mentioned in the Transfer Certificate (TC) issued in favor of the student by School/ Institution/ Vidyalaya last studied shall be treated as final.
• Residential Certificate from Tahsildar/ Sarpanch/ Councilor in support of Residence as filled up during online registration.
• Certificate of Recognition (CoR) in support of the institution last studied, if the last studied institution is a Private institution.
• Employer certificate of the Parent/ guardian if the candidate intends to avail of State Govt. employee quota/ State PSU quota.
• Aadhar Details of Student, Parent/ guardian.

OAVS Entrance Exam Patterns 2024

• The entrance test would consist of one paper with multiple-choice questions.
• There will be no negative marking.
• Duration of Examination, language of Question paper, subject to be asked at
  examination, mark assigned to each subject, no. of questions, and the total mark
  with regard to OAVET as mentioned below
