About Junior Merit Scholarship Odisha 2023

Applications are now open for students from both SAMS and Non-SAMS Higher Secondary Schools (HSS) to apply for this exclusive opportunity. Please note that there are a limited number of 10,000 scholarships available. To be eligible, students must have enrolled in the 11th or 12th standard for the academic session of 2023-24.

Objective Of Junior Merit Scholarship Odisha

The Government of Odisha in School & Mass Education Department is awarding Junior Merit Scholarship under the Scheme ‘e-medhabruti’ out of the State budget to provide financial assistance to the meritorious Higher Secondary School students of Odisha from families whose parental income does not exceed 6.00 lakhs to meet a part of their educational expenses while pursuing their higher studies.

Odisha Junior Merit Scholarship 2023 Eligibility Criteria

The applicant must follow the following eligibility criteria in order to apply for this scholarship:-

• The student must be a permanent resident of Odisha State.
• The Student must have passed HSC with 60% or more marks from an institution recognized by BSE Odisha, CBSE, ICSE, or Equivalent Boards, and pursuing regular Class XI courses of 10+2.
• The income of the parents of the students from all sources should not exceed Rs.6.00 lakh per annum.
• Students shall apply for the Junior Merit Scholarship in the 1st year of Joining the course (Class XI) for Fresh and in Class XII for Renewal.

Odisha Junior Merit Scholarship 2023–Documents Required

The following documents are required in order to apply for this scholarship:

• The Aadhaar Card of the student.
• The income Certificate of the Parent/ guardian.
• Residence Certificate of the Student.
• Copy of passbook of Bank account with account number and IFSC code of the bank branch.
• Passport-size Photograph of a student.
• College ID Card of the Student.
• The Marksheet of the last exam passed.

Junior Merit Scholarship Odisha Application Procedure

To apply for the Junior Merit Scholarship in the Odisha scholarship portal, candidates must follow the steps listed below-

• Navigate to the ‘Registration’ tab and click on it.

• Enter their Aadhaar card number and proceed with the steps to register themselves.
• Once the registration is completed, candidates will receive an ID and password on their registered mobile number.
• Using the ID and password log in to the scholarship portal and navigate to the application link.
• Choose the scholarships by selecting the department, class, category, and other details.
• A list of scholarships will be displayed and candidates need to click on their chosen one.
• Fill in the application form with required details like basic information, bank information, eligibility, and so on.
• Once done, click on the ‘Save’ button and then on the ‘Next’ tab.
• Here, candidates can preview their applications and make changes if required.
• If the details are correct, click on the ‘Submit’ button and complete the application process.
• Candidates must take a printout of the application form for future reference.

• To Know Your Application Status, you have to open the official website of the state scholarship portal Odisha.
• The homepage of the website will open.

• Now click on the Know Your Application Status option.
• A new page will open on the screen.
• Select the status type as application status.
• Enter the Aadhar number or application ID and click on the Get OTP option.
• Enter the OTP and get the status.
